Fun fact about Katie Couric, whose tenure as CBS Evening News host ends tonight: Her own personal salary ($15 million per year) was larger than the combined budgets of NPR's Morning Edition and All Things Considered. Wow.

IMHO, I thought it was a mistake from the beginning, she’s a ‘soft news” broadcaster. Nowhere near the personality needed to do the serious news of the day

This is one of those things to remember when people say the market won’t support quality journalism anymore.
